Augmented Reality for Arts – Limitations, Challenges, and Perspectives.

Tristan Braud

Augmented Reality (AR) blends digital content with our physical world to create new experiences at the intersection between the physical and virtual. Such technology creates significant perspectives in all fields related to content visualisation, including arts. However, as a novel technology, AR faces significant limitations that affect the deployment of new experiences. In this talk, I will describe such limitations through the description of several AR art projects, and how these can be addressed for real-world, reliable AR projects.
